The Rutgers Food Innovation Center (FIC) is New Jersey’s statewide Food Business Incubation and International Soft Landings Program. The Rutgers FIC is the leader of the Food Industry Talent Network, committed to ensuring that New Jersey’s workforce is prepared to meet the evolving and specialized needs of the agricultural, food and beverage industries in the Garden State.

The NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development funds the Talent Network program, which targets each of New Jersey’s nine major industry clusters (Advanced Manufacturing, Construction Utilities, Financial Services, Food Industry, Health Care, Life Sciences, Retail Hospitality & Tourism, Technology, and Transportation Logistics & Distribution). Talent Networks are focused on creating employer-driven, high-quality partnerships connecting business, education, workforce development, industry, and community organizations to cooperatively develop shared solutions to meet industry demands.
